We arrived in New Zealand with one plan: get a van fast, then spend our days chasing alpine views and hidden beaches.
Instead, we lost our first weeks doing the "van hunt" the hard way — jumping between Facebook Marketplace posts that were already sold, messy WhatsApp groups, and sellers who never replied. Important details were missing, listings weren't consistent, and the process felt like pure noise.
