Safety & Community — Vanzy
Vanzy Is a Marketplace Platform
Vanzy helps users publish and browse campervan listings in New Zealand. We are not a dealer, broker, mechanic, or inspection service, and we're not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. Listings are created by users, and buyers and sellers are responsible for verifying information and completing transactions safely.
Safety Tips for Buyers
- Inspect before you pay: view the van in person and consider a professional pre-purchase inspection.
- Verify ownership and documents: confirm the details match the vehicle and seller. For vehicle ownership checks, visit the NZTA Motor Vehicle Register at vehiclecheck.nzta.govt.nz.
- Be cautious with "too good to be true" deals: pressure tactics and urgency are common scam signals.
- Choose safe meetups: meet in public places when possible and bring a friend if you can.
- Avoid sharing sensitive info: do not share banking passwords or verification codes.
Safety Tips for Sellers
- Use secure communication: keep conversations respectful and clear.
- Avoid unusual payment requests: be cautious with overpayment scams and third-party couriers.
- Protect your privacy: only share the contact details you're comfortable sharing.
